Can I play soccer with a basketball?

You technically can kick a basketball around, but it’s a terrible substitute for a soccer ball. Basketballs are bigger, heavier, and less bouncy in the ways that matter for soccer, so your skills will look terrible and you’ll probably sprawl on the ground at least once. Stick to the right ball, or just rehearse your dribbling skills on a tennis ball if you’re that desperate.
